THE EXPERIENCE
The safari
The safari house is set in a private forest clearing just minutes from Levi centre. It is not a busy departure yard, but a quiet place among the trees where the exclusive feeling begins as soon as the transfer arrives. From here, the route combines Levi’s public marked snowmobile trails with sections of privately owned land accessible only to STG guests. This combination is what makes the safari different from many others in Levi: the public trails keep the ride moving smoothly through the landscape, while the private sections take you deeper into the wilderness. No other snowmobiles, no other visitors, just the trail ahead and the silence of the Arctic forest around you.
The ride crosses snow-covered forest and frozen lakes in the shadow of Levi fell. Around the halfway point, guests stop for a hot drink, a moment to pause and take in the surroundings before the return ride. Average speed when a sleigh is in use: 20 - 25 km/h. Without a sleigh: 30 - 45 km/h.
