Are you ready for an exhilarating adventure that will stay etched in your memory forever?
We offer you a self-guided husky safari with a track length of 10 km. Approximate safari time is 35-40 min. Safari time varies, as it always includes stop-overs and it’s dependent on the weather conditions. During the stop-over musher and passenger can change places.
We use 3 husky kennels, located about 30 min drive from Levi Center. In all kennels, owners are professional sport dog mushers and have specially trained Arctic-Alaskan breed huskies. This breed was created by cross-breeding at the beginning of the 20th century in Alaska especially for dog racing during the Gold Rush period. There are over 50 dogs in each kennel, including some Siberian huskies and puppies.
Upon arrival, you will get complete instructions for driving (guiding) the dog sled on your own and then immediately start the safari. The track lies partly in the forest and partly on a beautiful frozen river (depending on the kennel).
After the ride, you can walk around the kennel, pet the dogs, and take photos with them. Inside a cozy teepee, you can warm up around the open fire and have a hot drink with cookies. The host will talk about life with the dogs and answer questions.

RECOMMENDATION
We strongly recommend wearing warm winter clothing. It can be rented separately before the departure from the Safarimarket office in Levi center at extra charge. If you want to rent the clothing, please be at least 20 min before pick up time to get dressed.
It’s better to be overly warm dressed than “underdressed”, especially on longer safari programs. In cold weather, we recommend applying no-water-based winter cream for the face and covering tightly open skin areas.
Please take off your gloves/mittens when touching the huskies. They love to play with gloves and might break them easily. Do not be afraid of the dogs, as they are genetically friendly to people. Do not feed the dogs.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if the booking is canceled 2 days or less before the event.
We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if the booking is canceled 7 days or less before the event.
We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if the booking is canceled 90 days or less before the event.
PLEASE NOTE
Child age: 2-11 years:
Please always bear in mind that one sled can take max. 2 adults + 1 small child (under 4 y.o.). The final decision about seating is taken by the host on the spot, as it can depend on participants' weight, height, etc.
When the number of persons in your party or family is odd, a single supplement must be added to the reservation. The exception is when a small child under 4 y.o. who can go third person in a sleigh.
Single driving is available as a supplement.

Lovely and very flexible staff. They were informed about the tours and told us cool facts about the activities we did. We had the 10km husky sledge safari and a northern lights tour which was an amazing unique experience you should definitely consider. Keep in mind that the husky farm told us there gets much colder than in Levi, so we did it in almonds -30 degrees. Make sure you dress warm or request extra over alls from them. We got to pet the dogs and ask questions after the activity.
