We will make sure that you are well-equipped for the safari. After that, you are taught how to steer a sled and then you will get into a sled with your friends or family where a team of 5 to 6 Alaskan huskies are waiting, ready to go! The sled ride itself lasts around 30 minutes across ancient swamps and snowy pine forests. In the halfway, you can swap drivers, if you want. Our staff will help you to take pictures so remember to take your phones/cameras to the tour! After the ride you can pet the dogs and we’ll tell you about every dog individually. After all they are all their own charming personalities! In our warm yurt you will get to enjoy hot chocolate/hot berry juice and some sweet pastries. We can also continue our conversations about dogs and this lifestyle. Also if you have any questions popping into your minds we’re more than happy to answer them! According to Finnish law, to drive a snowmobile one should be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license of category B, T, A1, or A (i.e. car or motorbike). Alcohol tolerance is zero, drivers will have to pass an alcohol test before snowmobile rental. A second passenger can sit behind the driver on the snowmobile if the person's minimum height is 130 cm and his/her feet can fully reach the footrests. The maximum speed limit is 60 km/h and 80 km/h on the lakes. Driving is only allowed on marked trails.
