Polarman's Camp in the light people travel to Lapland to see — when daylight fades into deep blue rather than darkness, and the snow igloo park glows in colour against the twilight. The same camp, the same program, a completely different atmosphere.
Blue Moment at Polarman’s Camp - Early Evening Winter Experience, Levi - The Same Camp, a Completely Different Light
The Blue Moment brings together everything the Arctic winter has to offer - in a single early evening program on private land, in the light that makes December and January in Lapland unlike any other time of year.
Why the Blue Moment Is Unlike Any Other Evening Program in Levi
The kaamos blue light - the deep, saturated twilight of the polar night that makes the snow igloo park and the landscape look unlike anything in full darkness or ordinary daylight
The same private camp, the same Polarman, the same snow igloo park as the full evening program - in an entirely different atmosphere
Earlier departures - 15:00, 16:30 or 17:30 - the right timing for families with young children
Aurora dome is always open, always above +15°C (59°F) - guests move freely between inside and outside all evening
Live ticketed event: one price, every attraction included, nothing extra to buy on site
Professional photo session throughout — images sent by email after the event
The Blue Moment - The Light That People Travel to Lapland to See
In December and January, the sun barely rises above the horizon. For a few hours each day the sky turns a deep, saturated blue - not quite day and not quite dark - and everything in it takes on a quality that is almost impossible to photograph well and even harder to describe. The snow glows. The illuminated structures of the Snow Igloo Park look different in blue twilight than they do in full darkness. The forest is still.
This is the light that people travel to Lapland specifically to see. The Blue Moment is the early evening edition of Polarman’s Camp, so that everything - the walk along the river, the snow park, the BBQ, the aurora dome - happens inside that window of blue.
The Same Camp, the Same Program - A Genuinely Different Experience
The Blue Moment runs the same program as the full evening version of Polarman’s Camp. The Polarman, the snow igloo park, the Arctic survival presentation, the guided walk, the Lappish BBQ, the aurora dome, the stories — all the same. The only difference is the timing, and the light. The two programs feel genuinely different. Some guests choose to do both.
Who This Program Is For - Families, Early Evenings and the Polar Night
The evening version of Polarman’s Camp runs late - too late for families with young children. The Blue Moment solves that. Everything is the same, the timing works for children, and the light is something they will remember long after the evening is over.
It is also the right choice for anyone who wants to experience Polarman’s Camp in the specific atmosphere of the polar night, rather than in full darkness. The coloured light of the snow igloo park against the deep blue of the sky is one of the most photographed sights at the camp.
The Snow Igloo Park - Hand-Built Each Winter, Lit Against the Blue Sky
The Snow Igloo Park is a hand-built world of carved archways, connecting tunnels, igloos and snow sculptures - enclosed by walls of packed snow, and lit in deep blues, purples, reds and ambers. In the Blue Moment, the coloured light sits against the natural blue of the kaamos sky rather than full darkness. It is a different and rarer version of the same park.
Arctic Survival Presentation Inside the Snow Igloo
Inside the big snow igloo, the Polarman gives his Arctic survival presentation - sharing the knowledge and techniques drawn from his years of living and travelling in the north. One detail that surprises almost every guest: at -30°C (-22°F) outside, it is genuinely warm inside a snow igloo. You feel it yourself.
Children have their own section of the park - tobogganing on the snow slide, finding their way through the maze, exploring the snow tunnels.
The Lappish BBQ, Firepit Storytelling & the Blue Sky Above
The evening closes around the outdoor firepit. Collect your sausage from the Arctic BBQ Snow Station - a serving counter carved from snow inside the igloo — then grill it on a stick over the open fire. Marshmallows follow. More stories from the Polarman. The blue sky above.
Staff watch conditions throughout the evening. When there is activity in the sky, guests are called outside immediately, professional camera ready.
Professional Photo Session - Images Sent by Email After the Event
A professional photo session runs throughout the entire program. All images are processed and sent to guests by email after the event.
