Snowshoe Fitting in Levi & Short Transfer to the Summit
Your evening begins in Levi village, where you’ll meet your local guide and be fitted with snowshoes based on your shoe size (worn over your own sturdy winter boots). After fitting, you’ll take a 5-minute car transfer to a panoramic viewpoint near the summit of Levi Fell — a prime location for panoramic views and night sky observation.
Guided Downhill Snowshoe Hike in Arctic Nature
Your guide will lead you on a 2–4 km downhill hike, descending from the fell toward Levi village center, ending right by the central slopes. The route includes some steeper sections and will be selected based on group ability and snow conditions.
If skies are clear, you may see stars, moonlight, and, with luck, the Northern Lights shimmering above the fell.
While aurora sightings are never guaranteed, this high, open route gives you one of the best chances in Levi to spot them - if conditions align.
Even in cloudy or snowy weather, the experience remains atmospheric. The snow-muted silence, crisp night air, and glow of your headlamp combine into a peaceful and immersive Arctic experience.
Outdoor Break with a Hot Drink
Midway through the walk, you’ll pause to enjoy a hot cup of Finnish berry juice, served outdoors in the open air. It’s a quiet moment to rest, warm up, and listen to your guide’s stories about Lapland’s wildlife, nature, and traditional life in the North.

RECOMMENDATION
We recommend wearing warm winter clothing. It can be rented separately before the departure from the Safarimarket office in Levi center at extra charge.

We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 7 days or less before the event
We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled 21 days or less before the event
We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 365 days or less before the event
PLEASE NOTE
Important: This tour includes moderate uphill and downhill walking on uneven terrain. A normal level of physical fitness is required, and the activity is comparable to cycling 5 km.
Not recommended for guests with knee problems, heart conditions, or mobility issues, due to downhill descent on snowshoes.
