Enjoy a unique and memorable 3-course dinner sat at ice tables and chairs in the beautiful Snow Restaurant sculpted from ice and snow. After the dinner you will have a guided tour around the Snow Village exhibition and experience the magical world of snow and ice. Snow Village is packed with beautifully decorated walls, rooms, sculptures and an ice bar. In the end of the guided tour a warming juice will be served in the ice bar. After that you still have time left to continue exploring the exhibition at your own pace before returning to the bus. The exhibition theme of the snow village changes every year. For two years, 2018 & 2019, it was Game of Thrones, which proved to be very popular and gained lots of media attention worldwide. In the following years, there were Macro World, Futuristic, Around the World, Nordic mythology and Underworld, the coming season will be different. Here is the menu for the 2025/2026 season. Then, we will drive you by car to the nearby ice-fishing location. Upon arrival, you will receive special fisherman’s boots, warm mittens, and a hat to keep you warm and dry during the fishing trip. We will walk a short distance to a small lake, where our guide will give you brief fishing instructions. You will receive your fishing gear and start fishing! The lake is stocked with rainbow trout , which are usually quite easy to catch. However, fish activity depends on the weather, and in December, due to the short daylight and polar night conditions, the fish may not be very active. We will spend about two hours fishing before taking a break to warm up by the fire and have a snack. If you’re lucky enough to catch a fish, our guide will help cook it for you over an open fire in the traditional Finnish way of ‘fire-glowing.’ The fish is filleted, pinned to a wooden board, and placed vertically next to the fire flames for about 40 minutes, giving it a natural fire glow and a slightly smoky taste. It’s the best fish meal you will try in Lapland. In case of no catch, we will offer you a tasty local snack and a warm drink. During the fishing, you can always warm up in a lean-to by the open fire, which is right by the lake. Our guide will share stories about fishing traditions in Finland. If you wish, you can also take your catch home in a bag. The approximate duration of the actual safari is 1,5 hrs. The average speed during our tours is limited due to safety and traffic regulations. According to Finnish law, to drive a snowmobile one should be at least 15 years old and have a valid driver's license of category B, T, A1, or A (i.e. car or motorbike). Alcohol tolerance is zero, drivers will have to pass an alcohol test before the safari. A second passenger can sit behind the driver on the snowmobile if the person's minimum height is 140 cm and his/her feet can fully reach the footrests. Otherwise, this person should be seated in the sled. The sled is always pulled by the guide's snowmobile. The sled is open-top and can take up to 8 persons. It's advisable that a small child seated in a sleigh is accompanied by an adult. The maximum speed limit is 60 km/h. Driving is only allowed on marked trails. At the moment there are about 100 huskies in the park, twice or three times a year puppies are born, so there are always puppies or at least youngsters in the park. The focus of all operations in Husky Park is the dogs, real, purebred Siberian Huskies, and special attention has been paid to their well-being and natural needs. This can be seen for example in fencing placing, which is unusual in this kind of operation, and also in dog feeding, which consists only of raw food. After a short security briefing, you will hop into a musher-driven sleigh, which can take 2 adults and a child. Just sit back to enjoy a thrilling husky ride! The musher will stand behind you on the runners and you will get a feeling that dogs are pulling you at their discretion. The duration of the ride is about 20 min. and the distance is about 5 km. Safari time varies, as it always includes stop-overs and it's dependent on the weather conditions. During the stop-over musher and passenger can change places. We use 3 husky kennels, located about 30 min drive from Levi Center. In all kennels, owners are professional sport dog mushers and have specially trained Arctic-Alaskan breed huskies. This breed was created by cross-breeding at the beginning of the 20th century in Alaska especially for dog racing during the Gold Rush period. There are over 50 dogs in each kennel, including some Siberian huskies and puppies. Upon arrival, you will get complete instructions for driving (guiding) the dog sled on your own and then immediately start the safari. The track lies partly in the forest and partly on a beautiful frozen river (depending on the kennel). After the ride, you can walk around the kennel, pet the dogs, and take photos with them. Inside a cozy teepee, you can warm up around the open fire and have a hot drink with a cookie. The host will talk about life with the dogs and answer questions. WHAT'S INCLUDED Transfer. Guiding.
